Medewerker Digitaal Toetsen en Taalschakeltraject

Als medewerker Digitaal Toetsen ondersteun je de Facultair Coördinator Digitaal Toetsen (FCDT) bij de voorbereiding, inrichting, afname en nazorg van alle digitale toetsen. Je onderhoudt contact met een diverse groep collega’s, zoals docenten, facultaire collega’s van de Tentamenorganisatie en de roostering, en met de centrale toetsorganisatie EPAC.

Hiernaast bied je ondersteuning bij het Taalschakeltraject. Dit is een samenwerking met de HAN waarin nieuwkomers in Nederland tijdens hun inburgering worden klaargestoomd voor een wetenschappelijke opleiding. Ook in deze functie onderhoud je contacten met diverse stakeholders zoals docenten en de studieadviseur van het Taalschakeltraject om zo te zorgen voor een soepel draaiende onderwijsadministratie en -ondersteuning.

Een greep uit je taken en verantwoordelijkheden:

• Je bewaakt en handelt eerstelijns meldingen af, autoriseert gebruikers en bent verantwoordelijk voor het gebruiksgemak voor docenten in de toetsapplicatie Ans.
• Je ondersteunt de FCDT bij digitale toetsafnames en stemt af met de interne onderwijslogistieke diensten, docenten en de EPAC.
• Je fungeert als een vraagbaak voor docenten en collega’s binnen en buiten de faculteit met betrekking tot digitaal toetsen.
• Je inventariseert de behoeften bij docenten binnen de faculteit en stemt deze af met de centrale toetsorganisatie.
• Je ondersteunt de FCDT bij het informeren, trainen en het professionaliseren van docenten en medewerkers op het gebied van digitale toetsing.
• Je bewaakt de onderwijsadministratie van het Taalschakeltraject en ondersteunt de studieadviseur en de coördinator van het traject bij administratieve vragen.
• Je ondersteunt docenten uit het Taalschakeltraject bij hun gebruik van de digitale leeromgeving (voornamelijk Brightspace).

Assistant Professor in Quantitative Marketing or Marketing Strategy

Student Assistant Aurora

Are you an internationally minded student looking for a student assistant position for 1 or 2 days per week within a dynamic academic network?

In this role, you will work with international partners of the Aurora Alliance in project groups, help coordinate the Aurora Student Ambassadors, and collaborate closely with the University Student Council within Aurora. You will also support international exchange and cooperation across the network.

Job description
The Aurora Student Assistant will be employed by VU Amsterdam and will develop and carry out activities for the thematic working group Student Engagement within the Aurora Alliance and coordinate the Aurora Student Ambassadors group. The VU Aurora student Assistant will work in close cooperation with the VU Institutional coordinator and the VU Aurora team (mobility and communication). He/she will work under supervision of the VU Institutional coordinator.

Tasks
The Aurora Student Assistant will:

• Represent VU Amsterdam within the Aurora working group for students;
• Actively carry out planning, execution and follow up of activities as discussed within the group in cooperation with other group members;
• Coordinate the Aurora student ambassadors group within VU Amsterdam and work on strengthening the student representation;
• Work closely with the portfolio holders of the VU Student Council; the official representation within the Aurora student council;
• Report 6-weekly on the development within the working group to the VU Aurora institutional coordinator;
• Support the communications officer around student initiatives within the network;
• Support the mobility officer around student exchanges within Aurora;
• Participate once a year in the Aurora summit abroad;
• Actively involve other VU sections involved in Aurora student activities.

Grant specialist

As Grant specialist you will support the researchers in the Discrete Mathematics cluster in writing grant proposals and in executing the resulting projects. You will be the local contact person handling the administrative aspects of the grants and contributing to the writing efforts for deliverables.

You become the first point of contact for external parties and project partners and stakeholders. You will join the dynamic team of the Discrete Mathematics cluster at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The researchers are active in applied algebra, coding theory, and cryptography and have multiple grants at national and EU level as well as projects with industry.

For Project acquisition you will support researchers with:

• Identification of potential industrial partners and suitable funding mechanisms to support industry collaborations.
• Preparation of administrative parts of grant proposals and of calls for tender
• Editorial review of proposals
• Support in dealing with TU/e internal administration (collecting required data, preparing necessary documents)
• Support in collecting required data from project partners

For Project reporting

• You will work in close collaboration with project partners nationally and internationally.
• You will collect material, handle its review and organization into project deliverables, and support submission of technical deliverables and technical reports
• You will prepare and submits administrative deliverables, annual progress reports, and support the submission of financial reports

For Project management you will:

• Contribute to project management by assisting the respective principal investigators and liaising with project partners to ensure successful delivery of tasks and deliverables of projects
• Perform active follow-up of the projects’ progress ensuring compliance with deadlines set in the projects’ description of work, and compliance with financial EU rules and consortium agreement
• Contact project partners regarding administrative, dissemination and financial guidelines of the projects
• Manage and organize meetings and events for the projects, prepare agendas and take minutes
• Assist the dissemination efforts by maintaining web pages and liaising with the PR groups at the department and TU/e central

You will also:

• Assist the DM cluster in hosting conferences, summer schools, and workshops not related to projects.
• Other “ad hoc” administration tasks

Coördinator kennisbenutting

Je taken als Coördinator kennisbenutting bestaan onder andere uit het bijhouden van de MOCIA website en social media, en het ondersteunen van een marketing- en communicatiespecialist in de inventarisatie van het Nederlandse leefstijl-interventielandschap. Mogelijk voer je het resulterende disseminatieplan uit, inclusief het ontwikkelen van trainingsmateriaal. Je werkt nauw samen met de MOCIA onderzoekers, onze implementatie-experts van de Radboud Universiteit en academische partners, maar ook met de maatschappelijke en industriële partners van MOCIA.

Afhankelijk van kwaliteiten en het functioneren op het vereiste niveau kan verdere groei binnen de functie aan de orde zijn. Een eventuele uitbreiding van uren of verlenging van het contract zonder doorgroei is ook bespreekbaar.

Het project is gefinancierd door het NWO cross-over programma, met als doel het Nederlandse kennis- en innovatiesysteem te versterken met behulp van publiek-private samenwerkingen. In de publiek-private samenwerking van MOCIA nemen aanvragers van acht kennisinstituten deel en acht co-financierende partijen.
