Senior Analist Medische Immunologie

Als senior analist op het laboratorium medische immunologie voer je gespecialiseerde immunologische diagnostiek uit. Je hebt een belangrijke rol in de patiëntenzorg voor onder andere auto-immuunziekten, (aangeboren) immuundeficiënties, hematologische maligniteiten en allergieën. Daarbij staat servicegericht samenwerken met clinici centraal.

Je werkt met een breed bepalingenpakket in bloed en maakt gebruik van verschillende (deels handmatige) immunologische technieken en apparatuur. Veelgebruikte technieken zijn onder meer geautomatiseerde en handmatige ELISA, immuunfluorescentie-microscopie, flowcytometrie en functionele assays. Naast de routine-diagnostiek draag je bij aan validatie van nieuwe bepalingen en klinische studies.

Omdat je met veel verschillende bepalingen werkt, is je werk afwisselend. Je schakelt soepel tussen verschillende werkplekken en stemt je werkzaamheden goed af met collega’s. De werkzaamheden vinden plaats tijdens kantooruren. Incidenteel word je ingezet voor een cito-bepaling in de avond of in het weekend.

Naast de reguliere laboratoriumwerkzaamheden pak je als senior analist extra taken op, zoals:

• operationeel beheer van een deel van de werkplekken, met name op het gebied van cellulaire diagnostiek en immuunfluorescentie;
• contact met firma’s over apparatuur en onderhoud;
• verificatie en implementatie van nieuwe of gewijzigde procedures en apparatuur;
• kwaliteitsbewaking en documentbeheer;
• deelname aan de (ochtend-)bloedafnameronde van het CDL;
• het aansturen en inwerken van collega’s;
• het vervangen van de hoofdanalist bij diens afwezigheid.

PhD AI in ultrasound imaging for endometriosis and adenomyosis

As a PhD candidate, you will work on the development and evaluation of AI models for detecting and characterising endometriosis and adenomyosis in ultrasound imaging. You combine technical AI research with close collaboration with clinicians and consortium partners.

Your work includes:

• developing and improving data collection pipelines, data quality standards, and annotation workflows for multi-centre ultrasound datasets;
• designing, training, and evaluating computer vision models for ultrasound-based diagnostics;
• contributing to research protocols, ethics applications, and data-sharing procedures within the Dutch4AI consortium;
• collaborating with clinicians, researchers, and external partners across the Netherlands and Europe;
• contributing to the development of clinically relevant AI-assisted diagnostic tools for point-of-care use.

In addition, you will write scientific publications, present your work at national and international conferences, and actively contribute to consortium meetings and collaborative research activities.

Postdoc position: Shaping Open Science Culture

As a postdoc, you will coordinate and execute the project from data collection to implementation and dissemination. You combine quantitative research with practical intervention development and collaboration across institutions.

Your work includes:

• analysing publication and bibliometric data using sources such as OpenAlex and Metacheck to study open science practices;
• designing and implementing culture interventions within research departments at participating universities;
• coordinating collaboration between consortium partners and monitoring project progress;
• writing open-access scientific publications and contributing to practical outputs such as intervention toolkits and policy briefs;
• contributing to the organisation of open science events and the development of an open science mobility dashboard.

This role offers substantial freedom and responsibility within a collaborative national research network.

PhD Position: Improving Research Quality through Research Culture

As a PhD candidate, you will conduct research within the CATALYST project under the supervision of Joeri Tijdink. You will contribute to both the scientific and practical goals of the consortium and collaborate closely with European partners.

Your work includes:

• mapping and evaluating interventions that may strengthen reproducibility culture within research departments;
• developing and applying tools to measure reproducibility practices within research groups;
• implementing and evaluating departmental interventions aimed at cultural change;
• collaborating with international project partners and participating in meetings, workshops, and conferences;
• writing scientific publications and contributing to project deliverables.
