Medewerker Service Desk (0,6-0,8 fte)
Over deze baan
Met deze baan bij de Service Desk (0,6-0,8 fte) ben je onderdeel van het centrale punt van Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) waar studenten, docenten en medewerkers met allerlei meldingen en vragen terecht kunnen via mail, telefoon, de online Self-Service Desk of aan de balie. Vanaf één locatie binnen de campus bedien je vijf academies met zowel Nederlandse als internationale studenten en medewerkers. Samen met je collega’s ben je dagelijks bezig met informatieverstrekking, incidentmanagement voor Huisvesting en ICT, bruikleen van diverse zaken (van laptops tot BUas-jassen), inname en uitgifte van items en beheer van publicatie van digitale producten en informatie. Ook ben je verantwoordelijk voor de administratie en registratie van eerdergenoemde dienstverlening, zoals o.a. kluisverhuur en smartcardbeheer. Daarnaast behandel je bestellingen van kantoorartikelen en diverse andere producten, uitgifte van relatiegeschenken en gift cards en zorg je voor de verwerking van inkomende en uitgaande post en pakketten. Kortom: een afwisselende en dynamische baan, waarin je begint aan een dag, maar je nooit weet hoe deze zal verlopen!
We zijn op zoek naar iemand die in ieder geval beschikbaar is op vrijdag en bij voorkeur ook op woensdag. Idealiter ben je beschikbaar tijdens de schoolvakanties.
Wat bieden wij jou?
- Het salaris bedraagt minimaal € 2.598,60 en maximaal € 3.545,13 bruto per maand bij een volledig dienstverband;
- De functie is gewaardeerd in schaal 6 van de cao-hbo. Je officiële functienaam is Operations assistant;
- Het betreft een tijdelijke functie i.v.m. ziektevervanging en daarom krijg je een aanstelling voor een half jaar.
- Je krijgt een volledige reiskostenvergoeding wanneer je met het openbaar vervoer reist en een tegemoetkoming aan de ziektekostenverzekering;
- Je krijgt jaarlijks een eindejaarsuitkering van 8,3% in december en 8% vakantiegeld in mei;

About this job
You will be teaching at the Academy for Hotel & Facility Management (AHF) where you will share your specialist skills and knowledge with students. This includes developing specific courses as well as coaching and supervising students individually or in groups during graduation projects and/or placements. One of the objectives is to strengthen national and international relations with interesting industry partners. You will build on your existing network, and you will represent our academy in industry. These connections are essential in keeping the knowledge requirements within our field of work up to date. You can translate and execute these requirements into specific projects and assignments for our students. In addition, you will contribute to the development of the curriculum as well as the further digitalisation of the programmes. In this position, you get the opportunity to guide and support smart and highly committed young people on their journey to becoming the next generation of Hospitality and Facility professionals.
Your main responsibility will be teaching and coaching our students. You have creative and fresh ideas on how to share your knowledge and experience. About this job
You will work as an instructor (0.4-0.6 FTE) at the Academy for Hotel & Facility (AHF) of Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas). Through our in-house training company Sibelicious, we provide learning experiences to educate the next generation of hospitality professionals. Sibelicious is a company where guests can enjoy tastey food at a reasonable price while students practise their hospitality skills. The restaurant is housed in a historic building on the campus of BUas. Students are trained in several outlets such as the visitor centre, food courts, kitchen, and restaurant. With your high-level hospitality experience, you can leverage your knowledge to contribute to their education.
Every week you will meet a new group of students whom you will instruct, coach and monitor in kitchen techniques, correct presentation, and the use of kitchen equipment. You will be responsible for the daily operations within any of the outlets. This role involves assigning, initiating, and coordinating the tasks and activities of students and student managers, providing corrections and guidance when needed. At the end of each shift, you will ensure proper closure, including daily cleaning according to HACCP standards and overseeing the restocking of supplies. You will be responsible for monitoring all functionalities, coordinating daily student briefings, and maintaining overall cleanliness across the outlets. When necessary, you will support your colleagues and take on operational duties in the absence of students. You will also play an active role in evaluating student performance. As part of a team of nine instructors, you will participate in department-related meetings. All daily communication at Sibelicious is conducted in English.

The submission of a certificate of good conduct (in Dutch abbreviated to VOG) is a condition for commencing employment at BUas. We will initiate a request for this after the terms of employment meeting. Among candidates with equal qualifications and experience, preference will be given to the internal candidate.
