Kerndocent Ondernemerschap en Retail Management (0,6 – 1,0FTE)

Je verzorgt onderwijs aan studenten van de Community Entrepreneurship. Dit onderwijs bevat een gevarieerd aanbod van kennis- skills- en projectlessen. Naast deze lessen draag je bij aan het verder ontwikkelen van lesmateriaal. Binnen de Community Entrepreneurship leiden wij studenten op tot de entrepreneur en/of intrapreneur van de toekomst. Deze beide uitstroomprofielen komen voortdurend terug in de studie, waarbij de student leert echt te ondernemen of ondernemers adviseert over aanpassingen aan het business model.

In het eerste leerjaar gaan studenten, na het adviseren van een ondernemer, een bedrijf opstarten en lopen zij een korte stage, waarbij zij een echte ondernemer gaan “shadowen”. Het tweede leerjaar staat volledig in het teken van de startup context. Dit jaar gaat het om het vaak en snel testen van ideeën, om te kunnen leren en de ideeën verder te ontwikkelen tot een haalbaar en schaalbaar businessmodel. In jaar 3 en 4 gaan studenten danwel (afstudeer)stage lopen binnen een bestaand bedrijf, danwel (afstudeer)stage lopen bij hun eigen bedrijf middels de Incubator Academy.

Het team
De opleiding Ondernemerschap en Retail Management bestaat uit ongeveer 40 docenten, onderverdeeld over vier jaarteams. Je komt te werken in een hecht jaarteam van ongeveer 8-12 docenten. Samen zijn jullie verantwoordelijk voor de studenten uit dat jaarteam. Het team is divers van opbouw, zowel in achtergrond als in ervaring en leeftijd. Alle teamleden hebben één ding gemeen … zij gaan tot het uiterste om de studenten te ondersteunen tijdens hun ontwikkeling tot ondernemer/ondernemende manager.

Lecturer in Supply Chain Management (0,8 - 1,0 FTE)

• Deliver and assess course modules in supply chain management, including logistics, procurement, operations management, and sustainability.
• Supervise and coach students during their final thesis projects and throughout their studies.
• Engage with students through in-person classes, projects, and discussions.
• Contribute to curriculum development in collaboration with colleagues and external partners.
• Collaborate with other programs to offer interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Participate in team meetings, planning, and academic activities.

The Rotterdam Business School
The Rotterdam Business School (RBS) is a community of professionals who, together with our students, form a dynamic educational institution for the economic field. The Business School offers education that is accessible to everyone, in a learning environment that resembles professional practice and where the industry actively participates. The education focuses on the development of students and prepares them for a constantly changing world.

RBS offers English taught programmes at Bachelors and Masters level. Our Master programmes are Master in Consultancy and Entrepreneurship and Master in International Supply Chain Management. We also offer a pre-master programme. Sustainability is an important theme throughout all of our programmes.

Medewerker Financiële Administratie (1,0 Fte)

Het Bedrijfsbureau Dienstenbrede Bedrijfsvoering en Ondersteuning (DBO) biedt ondersteuning in de bedrijfsvoering processen. De bedrijfsvoering biedt ondersteuning aan directie, managers en medewerkers en verzorgt ondersteuning op de het gebied van Personeel, Financiën, Kwaliteit en Management ondersteuning.

Als medewerker financiële administratie draag jij, samen met jouw collega’s van het team de dagelijkse zorg voor de gehele financiële administratie van de diensten Administratie, Informatievoorziening en Control (AIC), Onderwijs en Ontwikkeling (OeO), Concernstaf (CcS), Vastgoed en Facilitair (VeF) en Informatievoorziening en Digitale Transformatie (IDT).

Je komt te werken binnen het Domein Financiën, waar wordt gewerkt met een gezamenlijke mailbox dat fungeert als een centraal aanspreekpunt voor het gehele team. Hierin worden allerlei soortige financiële vragen aan de afdeling gesteld m.b.t. de facturen of offertes, maar ook financiële vraagstukken met betrekking tot Wet- en Regelgeving of intern beleid. Samen met het team zorg je voor een juiste verwerking de dagelijkse keten van bestellingen, facturen en inkooporderaanvragen. Je hebt daarin een uitvoerende rol.

Wij vinden het belangrijk om samen verder te bouwen aan de afdeling. Daar hebben we jouw input en ervaring nodig, zodat we onze dienstverlening verder kunnen ontwikkelen zodat wij hogere kwaliteit kunnen leveren.

Professional Doctorate on Operating autonomous, zero emission short sea vessels (0,8 - 1,0 fte)

What will you do?

As a Professional Doctorate at Hogeschool Rotterdam, you will have the opportunity to find answers to important questions about energy transition and remote operation in the maritime sector. You will work towards a PD degree through the Living Lab Green & Autonomous Corridor. On the road to this degree (within the national PD pilot), you will play a prominent role in organising, managing and executing the research for this project in combination with cases with consortia members and linked to projects in education.

Your supervision team will consist of experts both from the university and from companies. As a PD you will be part of the Maritime PD network and explore what it means to be(come) a PD, given this title is in the (final) pilot fase. You will be able to learn on the job, follow courses to improve your interpersonal and technological skills and visit conferences and other gatherings to discuss your project with others.

Context and collaboration
You will be part of a close-knit team of (senior) lecturer-researchers and PhD students led by the lecturer Ports Thierry Verduijn and lecturer Maritime Innovation Jeroen Pruijn. The practice-oriented (scientific) research covers a broad field. You will work at CoE HRTech, one of the Centres of Expertise (CoE’s) of Hogeschool Rotterdam. Within the theme of smart logistics and maritime innovation, we work closely together with the faculty Rotterdam Mainport Institute, but also Engineering and Applied Science. Within this theme several large projects are running in which (two other) PDs, PhDs and lecturers are doing research into smart and sustainable transport and port activities. As part of your assignment, you will divide your time between these institutes and the CoE location.

Living Lab Green & Autonomous Corridor and Human Capital
The Living Lab Green & Autonomous Corridor Rotterdam–Oslo is an initiative of Dutch and Norwegian companies and knowledge institutions. Its objective is to enable the deployment of green, autonomous, unmanned vessels at IMO level 3 within short sea shipping. A green vessel uses an (almost) emission-free propulsion system, can operate autonomously and unmanned, and is supported by a remote control centre that supports and monitors navigation, propulsion, and port operations.

The core of the Living Lab consists of two newly built vessels (Seashuttles) that Samskip will put into service in 2027 on the Rotterdam–Oslo route. Industry partners equip the vessels with technology for autonomous sailing and remote operation. The vessels provide a platform for practice-oriented research on energy management, maintenance, and remote navigation. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences is one of the leading partners in the project and, as the educator of Maritime Officers, focuses on the business and human capital questions involved.

In maritime research and in the sector, various steps have already been taken to understand how vessels can be effectively and safely managed and controlled remotely. The introduction of international IMO regulations (MASS Code) for remote or unmanned operation is scheduled for 2032. Until that time, tests and pilots can be conducted within the experience-building phase of the voluntary MASS Code. The Living Lab focuses specifically on autonomous, zero-emission vessels because there is limited understanding of how new energy systems can be managed and maintained remotely, and in which situations and for which tasks onboard crew are needed or desirable.

In the coming years, we aim to understand what effective operational and maintenance strategies for zero-emission systems onboard vessels look like, and under which conditions remote operation is sufficiently safe, feasible, and economically attractive for shipowners and professionals onboard and in port. There is still little to no information on what type of maintenance new energy systems on seagoing vessels require, and where and when this maintenance should or could be carried out. Attention is also needed for how operators in the remote control centre can collaborate effectively with the onboard crew, and the skills required for this collaboration.

Servicepunt medewerker IT (1,0 fte)

Je bent het eerste aanspreekpunt voor studenten en medewerkers met uiteenlopende IT‑vragen. Vanuit onze servicepunten ontvang je bezoekers gastvrij, denk je oplossingsgericht mee en zorg je voor een soepele en klantvriendelijke afhandeling.

Verder ga je aan de slag met:

• Het aannemen, registreren en zelfstandig oplossen of doorzetten van IT‑incidenten en serviceverzoeken;
• Het onderhouden van AV‑middelen en het bieden van werkplekondersteuning;
• Daarbij communiceer je duidelijk over verwachtingen en voortgang, zodat elke gebruiker zich gehoord en geholpen voelt;
• Het signaleren van terugkerende vragen of knelpunten en deze vertalen naar structurele verbeteringen.

Het Servicepunt team
Vind je het leuk om samen met een team verantwoordelijk te zijn voor de IT-vraagstukken op een locatie, maar zit je liever niet de hele dag stil achter een computer? Dan is dit de ideale baan voor jou! Behalve gebruikersondersteuning vanuit de IT-helpdesk spring je namelijk ook bij op andere taken, zoals werkplekbeheer, het uitlenen van hardware en randapparatuur en hulp bij de installatie daarvan. Dit alles in een gezellig team van supportspecialisten waar je veel kunt leren.

Er zijn in totaal zo’n 30 servicepuntmedewerkers per locatie 2 tot 5 medewerkers waarmee je dagelijks in teamverband werkt. We zoeken nu voor een vaste locaties nieuwe collega’s, maar het kan goed zijn dat je een tijdje op een andere locatie aan de slag gaat. In de regel zal je de ondersteuning uitvoeren tijdens shifts met wisselende tijden tussen 08:00 uur en 19:00 uur. Wij vragen flexibiliteit, maar bieden dit ook, want er is binnen een grote afdeling als deze voldoende ruimte voor een goede balans tussen werk en privé.
