Data Scientist - Datalabs (0,4 - 0,8 fte)

Als Data Scientist binnen de expertisepool Data & AI werk je aan innovatieve data- en AI-oplossingen die onderwijs, praktijkgericht onderzoek en maatschappelijke vraagstukken met elkaar verbinden. Samen met onderzoekers, docenten en studenten ontwikkel je toepassingen die écht worden gebruikt. Je krijgt volop ruimte om te experimenteren met nieuwe technologieën, jezelf te ontwikkelen en impact te maken binnen én buiten de Hogeschool Rotterdam.

Verder ga je aan de slag met:

• Ontwikkelen, testen en evalueren van Gen‑AI toepassingen (zoals agents, chatbots en synthese‑workflows) op basis van diverse datasets;
• Samenwerken met multidisciplinaire projectteams om praktijkgerichte onderzoeksprojecten te realiseren;
• Analyseren, voorbereiden en documenteren van data, bouwen van proof‑of‑concepts en zorgen voor een reproduceerbare en overdraagbare workflow;
• Vertalen van onderzoeksresultaten naar concrete tools, dashboards of informatieproducten voor gebruik binnen de Hogeschool;
• Inzet van opkomende methoden en technieken rondom datamanagement, cloud en cybersecurity.

Datalabs expertisepool Data & AI
Data en AI veranderen in hoog tempo de wereld waarin onze studenten straks gaan werken. Daarom investeren we als Hogeschool Rotterdam in de expertisepool Data & AI. Een team van enthousiaste professionals die met een frisse blik naar deze transitie kijkt.

Voor deze functie zoeken we meerdere nieuwe collega's die samen de expertisepool van in totaal 2,4 fte vormen. Ben je beschikbaar voor 0,4 tot 0,8 fte? Dan nodigen we je van harte uit om te solliciteren. Samen kijken we hoe we de beschikbare formatie optimaal kunnen invullen.

De expertisepool Data & AI is onderdeel van de Datalabs van Hogeschool Rotterdam en jouw rol daarin is organisatorisch ondergebracht bij het Instituut voor Communicatie, Media en Informatietechnologie van Hogeschool Rotterdam.

Vanuit deze expertisepool ondersteunen we opleidingen, onderzoek en bedrijfsvoering bij veilige en verantwoorde innovatie met data en domeinspecifieke AI‑toepassingen. Daarmee leveren we een directe bijdrage aan de kwaliteit, toegankelijkheid en toekomstbestendigheid van ons onderwijs en onderzoek. Inhoudelijk word je aangestuurd door het team van datalab coördinatoren, tech leads en de hogeschoolbrede coördinator datalabs.

De Datalabs van Hogeschool Rotterdam zijn zowel fysieke locaties als digitale omgevingen waar op een veilige en verantwoorde wijze kan worden geëxperimenteerd en worden gewerkt met data en kunstmatige intelligentie.

De zes datalabs bevinden zich verspreid over verschillende locaties van Hogeschool Rotterdam. Ieder datalab heeft een eigen focus, passend bij de opleidingen en onderzoeksgebieden die daar vertegenwoordigd zijn. Voorbeelden zijn IT, Zorg, Business, Verduurzaming, Engineering en Gebouwde omgeving.

(Junior) Onderzoeker / projectleider Implementatie Zorgtechnologie (0,8-1,0 fte)

Je werkt in een omgeving waar onderzoek, onderwijs en praktijk intensief met elkaar verbonden zijn. Je coördineert grote samenwerkingsverbanden, voert praktijkgericht onderzoek uit en – afhankelijk van je ervaring – verzorgt circa 0,2 fte onderwijs binnen een passende opleiding.

Verder ga je aan de slag met:

• Coördineren van SPIRIT, TIPIZ en/of het Innoveer(t)huis;
• Organiseren van bijeenkomsten, werksessies, overleggen en consortiumactiviteiten;
• Bewaken van planning, voortgang, kwaliteit en rapportages;
• Uitvoeren van praktijkgericht onderzoek naar implementatie van zorgtechnologie;
• Samenwerken met professionals, eindgebruikers, studenten en onderzoekers.

Het team – Kenniscentrum Zorginnovatie
Je komt te werken binnen het lectoraat Implementatie Zorgtechnologie, onderdeel van het Kenniscentrum Zorginnovatie. Je werkt nauw samen met lectoren, onderzoekers, docenten, studenten en partners uit zorg, welzijn, technologie en het businessdomein.

Kerndocent Medische hulpverlening (0,5 fte -tijdelijke functie)

Vanwege zwangerschapsverlof is de bachelor Medische hulpverlening op zoek naar een docent die vanaf 15 november 2026 kan starten voor de duur van tenminste vijf maanden.

Als Docent Medische hulpverlening zal je je bezig houden met:

• Het verzorgen van (praktijk)onderwijs binnen het acute domein; o.a. scenario-onderwijs, casuïstiek gestuurd onderwijs en student begeleiding;
• Het actief deelnemen aan de onderwijsontwikkeling vanuit het vakgebied waarbij uitgegaan wordt van competentiegericht leren in een contextrijke leeromgeving;
• Het meedenken over het doorvoeren van aanpassingen waardoor het onderwijs aansluit op de actuele situatie binnen de acute zorg.

Instituut voor Gezondheidszorg en Kenniscentrum Zorginnovatie
Het Instituut voor Gezondheidszorg (IvG) heeft een breed aanbod aan gezondheids-gerelateerde opleidingen. Hieronder vallen de bacheloropleidingen Ergotherapie, Fysiotherapie, Logopedie, Verpleegkunde, Leraar Gezondheidszorg en Welzijn, Verloskunde, en Medisch Hulpverlener. Daarnaast verzorgt het Instituut de masteropleidingen Advanced Nursing Practice (ANP), Physician Assistant (PA) en Fysiotherapie (met uitstroomprofielen kinderfysiotherapie, sportfysiotherapie en manuele therapie).

Hogeschool Rotterdam heeft zes kenniscentra voor praktijkonderzoek. Tussen de kenniscentra is onderlinge samenhang en samenwerking. Ieder kenniscentrum heeft een inhoudelijke verbinding met meerdere opleidingen. Het Instituut voor Gezondheidszorg heeft deze verbinding met het Kenniscentrum Zorginnovatie.

Study Career Coach (SCC) Willem de Kooning Academy (0,2 – 0,6 fte)

As a Study Career Coach you support and guide the students through their study, help them in learning how to study, coach them in choosing their study path in order to gain study success and to become a responsible and autonomous individual. You do that by:

• Focusing on the personal and educational learning goals
• Enabling moments of reflection and evaluation and aiming to raise awareness in the student's development
• Leading interactive group sessions with students
• Supervising group and individual assignments
• Individual talks with students
• Refer students timely to the right support, like student affairs or the student counselors

Willem de Kooning Academie
The Willem de Kooning Academy (WdKA) is a leading international academy for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in media, art, design, leisure and arts education.

WdKA pays attention to ecology in the broadest sense: social, cultural, technological and economical. Team
Study Career Coaches (SCC's) at the WdKA work with the students throughout their bachelor or master programs. Study Career Coaching is part of the curriculum for all programs at WDKA.

The SCC curriculum aims to make students aware of their own growth and supports them to acquire the ability to manage their own (study) career in the rapidly changing world of art & design and the cultural domain. You will be part of one or more major or master teams, where you are responsible for the SCC part of the curriculum. To align the SCC programs throughout all the different educations, there is a coordinator SCC who is responsible for the professionalization of all SCC colleagues and the quality and content of the SCC program.

At the moment we are looking for new SCC’s for different teams: Photography, Fine Art, Teacher education, Illustration, Graphic Design and master education. We will look for the best fit -content wise and with the team- when placing new colleagues in teams, but we expect you to be flexible and willing to work in different teams.

Instructor Living Station Lab - Willem de Kooning Academy (0,4 fte)

As a Intructor within the Living Station Lab, you will play an important role in supporting education and experimentation in a learning environment focused on ‘living’ and biological systems. You will be working as part of a small and dedicated technical team, you will help create an inspiring, safe and well-equipped environment where students, researchers and staff can explore new ideas and bring projects to life. With your technical expertise and hands-on mindset, you will support both educational activities and support individual research by our students working in the lab. You will work closely with students at all levels, helping them develop skills, experiment with biomaterials and realise their creative and research ambitions.

In addition, you will work on:

• Maintain the Living Station Lab, ensuring that facilities, tools, equipment and materials are safe, accessible and ready for educational activities;
• Support students, tutors, instructors and external experts in the development, production and execution of projects, experiments and research activities;
• Assist and support to the making practices for novel approaches to biomaterials experimentation and related processes. Contribute to the realisation of practical manuals that enable independent learning and research;
• Prepare and support workshops, demonstrations and skills-based lessons, working closely with tutors and instructors to align activities with the curriculum;
• Develop and maintain clear documentation, user instructions and guidance materials for equipment, facilities and laboratory processes;
• Support the operational organisation of the lab, administrative tasks and the creation of content for the Living Station website.

About the Living Station Lab
The Living Station Lab is a research and learning environment focused on ‘living’ and biological systems. It supports bio-art and bio-design practices by providing facilities and technologies for investigation, creation, and collaboration. Sitting at the intersection of art, design, and biology, the lab offers space for creative exploration and critical reflection on the relationship between ecology and technology.

We have microscopes, a sterile bio cabinet, incubators, an autoclave and all the materials to work safely in the lab. Students can conduct research and explore diverse living materials and ecosystems, such as plants, mycelium, soil, and waste streams.

The Living Station Lab serves two purposes. It is a place to experiment with techniques and create biomaterials, including bioplastics, fabrics from waste streams, and other innovative materials. On the other hand, it aims to be a learning environment in which research and collaboration is encouraged with living (eco)systems in and outside the school. We organize projects on the Rooftop Garden and collaborate with external organisations who provide a different environment and context than the lab.
